What are Tilt and Turn Windows?
Tilt and Turn windows are a flexible design of windows which let you fully open the frame inwards. This, therefore, makes them easy for cleaning. Alternatively, you can simply tilt the window inwards for better ventilation. Because the frame can open fully, Tilt and Turn windows can also be used as a fire escape. The system can even be incorporated into bow and bay window configurations and offers a variety of glazing options including obscure glass and leaded lights.

A choice of die-cast ergonomic handles in various colours provides the perfect finishing touch. All handles are die cast for strength and durability and are available in a range of colours. The hard wearing and decorative surface finish is produced using advanced coating technology known as Physical Vapour Disposition (PVD), which offers improved levels of corrosion and scratch resistance. A full range of Marine finish handles are also available.

Understanding Your Energy Efficiency
Window Energy Ratings rate windows from ‘A/A+’ to ‘G’ using a ‘traffic-light’ type colour code. To meet building regulations, all new windows must achieve a minimum WER ‘C’ rating or U-value of 1.6 or less. Doors and Conservatories are not rated in the same way but both our products are equally as energy efficient as our windows ensuring your home performs well.
Designs That Will Keep You Warm
The windows and doors installed by Cardinal Home Improvements use a German engineered, thermally efficient five chamber PVCu system which creates a boundary between the cold air outside and your warm air inside. They have also been designed to accommodate the most energy efficient triple-glazed insulated units.
