What are Sash Horn Windows?
Sash horn windows are a unique and ornate style of sash windows with a box sash profile outside. These function as outward-opening top hung casement windows. Sash horn windows are an ideal alternative to vertical slider windows. They offer casement opening flexibility whilst maintaining a traditional appearance – particularly useful when replacing timber sashes in period homes.

A choice of die-cast ergonomic handles in various colours provides the perfect finishing touch. All handles are die cast for strength and durability and are available in a range of colours. The hard wearing and decorative surface finish is produced using advanced coating technology known as Physical Vapour Disposition (PVD), which offers improved levels of corrosion and scratch resistance. A full range of Marine finish handles are also available.

Understanding Energy Efficient Windows
Window Energy Ratings (WER) evaluate windows from ‘A/A+’ to ‘G’ using a traffic-light colour code system. In order to comply with building regulations, all new windows must achieve at least a WER ‘C’ rating or a U-value of 1.6 or lower. While doors and conservatories are not rated in the same manner, our products are designed to be as energy efficient as our windows, ensuring optimal performance for your home.

All Cardinal Home Improvements windows and doors utilize a thermally efficient, German-engineered five-chamber PVCu system, which creates an effective barrier between the cold air outside and the warm air inside. This system is also designed to accommodate the most energy-efficient triple-glazed insulated units, ensuring superior thermal performance.
